Recent Work
A unique boat with great potential to be simply stunning. She is steered by an elegant lever and gear system, with a lovely external yoke on the rudder shaft. Some bottom planks and ribs were replaced in the late 1980s but a careful look at the structure and planking by an experienced boatbuilder and some much-needed work into the wonderful 1915 Sterling engine (from Buffalo, NY) could make this launch into a very interesting and usable boat – a potential museum piece.

If you’ve ever been in the Skiff House at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY, you’ll know this is a very special boat.
“Felice” is an early power version of the St. Lawrence Skiff, a rowing boat. She has the traditional features and shape of the skiff, including lapstrake planking and thole pins (for rowing), which are still in place.
Now is your chance to own an important part of history.
